Joanne Marie Gambles is a native of Gainesville, Florida.  She attended Santa Fe Community College and received her A.A. degree before transferring to Florida State University where she received her B.S. degree in Political Science in December of 1998.  After graduation she worked briefly for Disney; then, returned to Tallahassee to work at the FSU Center for Civic Education and Service. Shortly thereafter, she was hired by the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement as a program assistant. She has served as the Counselor for Student Support Services and is currently serving as the Coordinator for the College Reach Out Program.
